Today, I stumbled upon the Isle Kingdom of Merlot while searching for a new sim to explore. From what I gathered from the description of the place is that it is a Medieval/Fantasy themed sim with jousting, horse jumping, horse racing, archery and a few more activities. It also states that the sim is Newbie Friendly/New People Friendly which is always very nice to know. It shows that the sim is willing to accommodate and, hopefully, even help newbies get started in Second Life.

Isle Kingdom of Merlot
The description of the place did not mention anything specific about role play and I did not see any information about it anywhere in the sim but they do ask in their group charter that people be in period clothing and it is not even mandatory. I guess people can come wearing anything (or nothing) and it will be okay. [...continue reading A Look at the Isle Kingdom of Merlot]
In a far away land of Dundrum, I was called forth by the King of Medieval England to lay witness to the burning of Nordhaven for the second time. With swords in hand, I immediately embarked on a long journey to Nordhaven. My arrival was met with huge flames. It seems that the King of Medieval England set the surrounding area ablazed. Whether it was stupidity or bravery on the part of the King of Medieval England, I can not tell but it did enraged the people of Nordhaven. The King of Medieval England mounted his steed and hastily left to the safety of his own kingdom. I myself left as quickly as I arrived. Enraged and seeking vengeance, the warriors of Nordhaven immediately declared war on Medieval England and set forth to the island kingdom.

Back in Medieval England, the King prepared for war. He summoned his messengers and sent messages to all his knights to come defend the kingdom. Unfortunately, the King had no choice but to defend the kingdom alone. [...continue reading The Burning of Nordhaven and England]
Last month I received a Landmark to Carmarthenshire. Unfortunately, I can no longer remember who gave it to me. Sorry! Carmarthenshire, from what I gather, is a Medieval/Fantasy/Arthurian roleplay and combat sim. I dropped by a few days ago and took a stroll around the sim.

Carmarthenshire Dock
The landmark that I have dropped me on a dock where I was greeted by a sign that says “No OOC Beyond This Point”. LOL! Around the landing area are some things of interest like a box of FREE Clothes that does not give anything, a big board that lists the sim’s schedule of activities, two teleporters, some chairs and a few other objects. [...continue reading A Look At Carmarthenshire]
Today, I found myself outside the gates of Lakeshire, a Medieval Fantasy Roleplay community. Of course, I did not stay outside the gate. I went inside after grabbing some welcome freebie medieval outfits. I grabbed the set for men, of course. LOL!

Welcome to Lakeshire
If I remember it correctly, I received there rules and other information notecards upon landing and, as always, I strongly suggest that you read and understand them before moving forward. I kinda hesitated after reading the Rules but since nobody was around, I fought off my hesitation and went inside. [...continue reading A Look at Lakeshire]
A couple of days ago Feudal Nippon held their first ever Group Archery Tournament. This was not a target shooting contest but a battle between two groups of warriors using only their bows and arrows. Curious to how it will play out, I went to Feudal Nippon. The tournament was held at their sky arena and the only way to get there was to use the teleporter located in their armory. When I got to the sky arena, I immediately changed my outfit to something more Japanese before coming out of the landing area.

Feudal Nippon
I just love visiting Feudal Nippon. The people are very warm, friendly and accomodating. Just a few seconds of my arrival at the sky arena, 10 or more people immediately greeted and welcomed me. I don’t know many of them but that didn’t stop them from being nice and friendly. LOL! [...continue reading Group Archery Tournament]
