A Look at Lakeshire

kabalyero on January 29th, 2009 @ 2:48 am

Today, I found myself outside the gates of Lakeshire, a Medieval Fantasy Roleplay community. Of course, I did not stay outside the gate. I went inside after grabbing some welcome freebie medieval outfits. I grabbed the set for men, of course. LOL!

Welcome to Lakeshire

If I remember it correctly, I received there rules and other information notecards upon landing and, as always, I strongly suggest that you read and understand them before moving forward. I kinda hesitated after reading the Rules but since nobody was around, I fought off my hesitation and went inside.

The first thing I looked for here at Lakeshire was there Tournament Grounds and I found it just left (depends on where you are faced) of the gates. Inside are arenas for Archery, Melee and Jousting.

Entrance to the Tournament Grounds

The Arenas for Archery and Melee Fights are right beside each other while the Jousting Arena is located a little at the back. Looking at the setup, it is safe to assume that tournaments involving Archery, Melee and Jousting are held here (DUH!). When are these tournaments held? That I do not know! Ha ha ha! Sorry, I didn’t see any schedule posted anywhere and if there was any then I guess I missed it.

Near the entrance area are merchant stalls/space for rent. Checking the rental vendor, I learned that it cost only 300L$ for 30 days to rent that particular space. A few houses are also available for rent and the one I checked cost 600L$ for 30 days. If you are interested then you can always drop by and visit the place to verify the information presented.

By the way, for those wanting to rent a home here at Lakeshire I would just like to inform you that I only found one toilet. My guess is that you’ll have to share it with your neighbors and the public. Ha ha ha!

The Toilet!

Located at the other side of the street, which faces the toilet, is a platform where they hang people. I tried it myself and it looks very uncomfortable. So, if you are in Lakeshire then don’t forget to “Respect the Law”.

Hanging Around!

Lakeshire is a very small medieval village but they do have a huge Castle and in front of the castle is a small Clock Tower where you can just sit back and enjoy the surroundings.

The Clock Tower

Lakeshire is a nice medieval town to visit. It’s not big but I think it has enough elements for a Second Life resident to enjoy both roleplay and combat.

If you wish to check out Lakeshire then you can find it in-world at Multiples of Lust (103/1/22).
