RP and Combat Sims
A Look at Egypt Valley of the Gods
Today I visited Egypt Valley of the Gods. A roleplay and combat sim inspired by ancient Egypt and owned by Skyyy McCallen and Lurgan Ling. They were once the rulers of RPG Empire’s Egyptian Empire but unfortunately it was closed but, now, they have their own Egyptian sim to rule. I only found out about it while I was at Medieval England. It seems that they have some roleplay going on between each other. The Pharaoh gave me a landmark and I also requested to be added to the group so that I could get notices of events and other updates.

As always, my visit starts at the landing area where you will find a teleporter that will take to, what it seems to be, four major locations on the sim. These locations are; 1. Arena of the Gods, 2. Harem, 3. Bast Temple and 4. The Pyramid. Of course there are other locations that were not listed like the Market, the Bathhouse and others. Oh, I almost forgot the mighty Nile River.
The sims version of Nile River runs across the middle of the sim starting from the landing area. It actually splits the sim into two with bridges connecting each half. While I was walking along the banks of the river, I noticed two animals. An alligator and a family of hippopotamus. I didn’t see any fish though but maybe it’s because I didn’t look closely enough.
They have a small market composed of a couple of tents and they have items for sale like skins, furnitures, jewelries and others. A few meters from the small market is the Sphynx and Pyramid. Inside the Pyramid is a box and a coffin. I didn’t see anything else inside.
Not far from the Pyramid is an Egyptian Temple. Inside I saw two idols and a small garden. Near the temple is the HQ. I would assume that HQ means “headquarters”. I guess this is where they plan and strategize their future battles, wars and raids.
Moving further to the edge of the sim I reached the shore where I big ship is marooned. I then crossed the river to reach the other side where I found what they call the Queen’s Tent. Based on the name alone, I can say that this is the Queen’s personal place in the sim. LOL!
Next to the Queen’s Tent is a Bathhouse and a structure with thrones inside. Beside it is the Harem which looked like a club to me but according to Google a Harem is a place in the Arab household where men are forbidden. I guess it’s just the name of the place.
The last location I visited is the arena which they call Arena of the Gods because it was located way up in the sky. To get there, I used one of the teleporters that are near major locations in the sim.The arena looked very different than the other arenas that I have seen because I didn’t see any walls around it (see snapshot). The feeling of falling was all over me while I was walking around the arena.
My visit of Egypt Vallery of the Gods ended at the arena. During my time there, I didn’t see anyone which is good in someways because I was not in period clothing. I try very hard to not upset anyone in the sim that’s why I usually visit when there are no people in it.
Anyway, Egypt Vallery of the Gods is a nice sim with lots of sand, sand dunes and open spaces. It has RP relations with Nippon and Medieval England, at least that is what I know, so you’ll have lots of RP fun if you are into roleplaying. My only concern is that the sim is an open space sim and we all know that open space sims are not recommended for normal day to day sim use but if they’re able to cope with the lag issues then I guess it’s fine.
Finally, I would like to invite everyone, roleplayers and non-roleplayers in Second Life, to come and take a look at Egypt Valley of the Gods.
