RP and Combat Sims
A Look at Jabberwock
Today, I had the time to check out Jabberwock. Jabberwock is a pirate themed sim and it’s not just one sim, it is made of 5 interconnected sims. That means, if you are a sea lover, you’ll get to enjoy more ocean space for sailing and sea battles. Jabberwock or Pirates of Jabberwock is owned by Antigua Jewell.
I landed at the docks near a tavern named Calico Jack’s. I’m not a pirate expert but according to Wikipedia Calico Jack “was an English pirate captain during the early 18th century. His nickname was derived from the calico clothing he wore.” I guess it’s a fitting name for a tavern. In the tavern were three people but I can only remember the names of Kurt Jiagu and Antigua Jewell. Kurt Jiagu was busy talking to another visitor of the sim. All three of them left afterwards but I was able to ask permission to look around the sim.
The most important thing to remember in exploring new sims is to first read and then follow their rules. If it’s an RP/Combat sim then it is always best to wear a visitor tag or an observer tag so that you won’t interfere with any RP that may be happening. In the landing area is a crate which contains a Pirate starter set and the visitor tag. I already have a visitor tag which I can customize to suit the sims requirements but I still grabbed the starter set because of the free swords and suits inside.
The sim has a nice Island feel to it and there are many places where you can hangout and relax with your special someone. For example, I found two cave formations along the shore furnished with poseballs. The houses near what seems to be a church are fully furnished with beds, chairs, couches and others
Like most, if not all, RP/Combat sims, they make some money by renting shop spaces or vendor spaces. Most of the shops are located along the docks but some are found behind the tavern. I also found a rental box beside a big ship. I’m not sure if its for the ship or for the space and on one of the ships that were docked around the island, a lady named Rachel Boram was just standing there in a pose.
For those interested in combat, sea battles are held on Saturdays at 5:00PM SLT, Thursdays at 12:00PM SLT and Sundays also at 12:00PM SLT. If you wish to learn more about it then I suggest that you come here at Jabberwock or contact the owner.
I enjoyed my little tour of the island and as I’ve said there are 4 more other sims but I’ll just let you explore that for yourself. The people that were there when I landed were accomodating and friendly. No, I didn’t get a chance to talk to them but I did observe how they accomodated another visitor besides I’m not very chatty!:)

Here are a few more snapshots of the sim. I’m no professional photographer but I do hope you enjoy them.
